
The images of a lively Halloween party, arriving (above) and inside dancing (below), are by Albert Dorne (1906-65). They are taken from a 1947 advertisement for a Wurlitzer jukebox. The witch is great (as you’d expect, since Dorne was President of the New York Society of Illustrators at the time) but, damn, what a jukebox!
