This „Fortune Teller” postcard was published by R. Kaplan (copyright 1909; Serie No. 55). It has a hidden message, that is only revealed when the card is held up to a mirror (or you flip the image in Adobe Photoshop!). This card was posted 14 August 1912, so it appears not to have been a Halloween postcard, more of a party-card.

BTW: the artist is Clare Victor Dwiggins (aka 'Dwig’; 1874-1958). Comiclopedia explains that Dwiggins started his career as a cartoonist in 1897, producing 'School Days’ in the early 1910s, and moved onto comics in 1918 (with 'Huckleberry Finn’).
